Hama Hama® oysters and clams are farmed at the mouth of Washington State’s Hamma Hamma River, at the intersection of fresh water and salt, on gravelly beaches created over centuries by winter floods. At lowest tide, the flats extend almost a mile into Hood Canal, a salt-water fjord that forms the eastern boundary of the Olympic Peninsula. The oysters grow slowly in this environment, often taking twice as long to reach marketable size as oysters grown by other farms. The result: spectacular oysters with a distinctively clean, crisp flavor and firm meat.

Formerly available only in fine restaurants and gourmet stores, Hama Hama oysters and clams can now be purchased directly from the farm and shipped anywhere in the United States. We are also offering our oysters smoked and pickled, as well as our own smoked salmon, all produced in small batches on location at Hama Hama Farm.

What is your Chamber?

Simply stated, your chamber of commerce is comprised of businesses, organizations and individuals working collectively to build a healthy economy and to improve the quality of life in your community.

As your chamber works to accomplish these goals it wears many hats: economic developer and planner, tourist information center, business spokesperson, economic counselor and teacher, government relations specialist, human resources advisor and public relations practitioner.

Who leads your Chamber?

Your chamber of commerce is run by its members whom elect a Board of Directors that determines policies and sets goals. The Board’s elected President presides over the monthly board meetings.

Your chamber’s everyday operations are handled by the executive director, a paid employee working jointly will the Board of Trustees and Chamber Committees to implement the Chamber’s goals and mission.

Chamber committees are the most common method that individual members utilize to become actively involved in the Chamber. These committees focus on many subjects including economic development, education, human resources, conventions, tourism, public affairs and government relations.
